The Route From El Rocio To Santiago De Compostela
per person
The Asociación de Amigos del Camino del Rocío a Santiago, supported by the Hermandad Matriz de Almonte and various town councils, has made possible a wonderful route that starts at the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Rocío and runs through 13 stages until it reaches Cañaveral de León to link up with the Vía de la Plata, and as a destination, the tomb of the Apostle Santiago de Compostela. The route, 211km long, runs along paths of great natural and monumental wealth, which makes the pilgrim enjoy his walk enormously.
The first signpost of the Camino del Rocío to Santiago is a tile with the arrows indicating the route located at the entrance to the Ermita del Rocío. And it is the Pilgrim’s Office, located in the Sanctuary itself, which is responsible for stamping the credentials of pilgrims arriving at the Rocío.
