Almonte Forestry Museum

Located at kilometer eight of the Almonte – El Rocío highway, it is a forest of high ecological value, with 60 hectares of pine forest where the relationship between visitors and the natural environment is sought. Its contents are linked to the use and the work that has traditionally been carried out on it. The DoñaDoñana company offers a wide range of leisure, entertainment, environmental education and training thanks to the training and passion of the professional team in charge of Andévalo Aventura.

The Lynx Interpretation Center allows you to get to know this animal up close, from its morphological characteristics and its life cycle, to the different species belonging to theLynx genus. The tour offers a close and real vision of this species so that the visitor discovers its peculiarities, as well as the threats and dangers that lie in wait for it.

The tour is established around six rooms. Each of them offers a theme related to this enigmatic animal, which the user will gradually discover through audiovisuals, graphics, texts or dioramas. The rooms group information on the following topics: the lynx in the world, the habitat, the Iberian lynx as the prince of Doñana, the lynx told to children and an audiovisual area. In short, the scientific plot, monitoring and the need to preserve it for future generations are included. The environment of the Center serves as a complementary visit, as it perfectly serves as an example of the natural environment in which the feline resides.

The Stone Pine Interpretation Center allows you to visit inside a gigantic pine trunk. The space is divided into four blocks that break down through models, panels and audiovisuals ‘the stone pine’, the fauna, flora of the pine forest and the sustainable use that man has made of it.

Nature and classroom come together on the farm. A special residence where sheep, peacocks, chickens, goats live together. In the squares of mares and deer, children will enjoy the wildest natural habitat of Doñana.

One of the newest activities within Active Tourism. It consists of 162 hanging structures 8 meters high with elusive bridges, spider webs, rings, balance beams and a large sled.
